Discuss Hart of Dixie

I am binging right now (on the weekends) and am near the end of the second season. I've had this on my binge list for a while and finally started it. I don't usually go for romantic and/or cutesy stuff, but I love this show! Except for right now. I am having an issue with something that just happened, and I am crushed. Would love to talk about it with someone.

I'm here but it's been a while and I have memory issues, but I'll do my best 😊

Hi! It's great that you've already seen it so I won't have to worry about spoiling it for you, but _I _really don't want to be spoiled. I just want to whine about Wade cheating on Zoe. I felt like it was happening to me. I had been holding my breath all this time because I knew it couldn't last, but it was horrible even while expecting something to happen to break them up. But, did it have to be that! It seems like there's no coming back from that for Zoe. I have a feeling that the show runners have always meant for George to be the endgame for Zoe. Again - please don't spoil me! I am only at the episode after they split up. I have never even read about it in entertainment news, so I don't really know anything for sure.

Don't worry I'm not going to spoil anything. I feel your pain though, she did not deserve that. Wade is fun and carefree while George is kind of predictable, and in nine times out of ten your heart beats a little faster for the carefree stud, probably because you know there's danger and risks involved. Zoe bet and lost and she paid with heartache. Keep watching, it's a great show!

You're right. The bad boy gets us every time. I didn't even think Wade was all that at first, but then he just kept getting hotter. Of course, the tamer a guy gets in a relationship, the less hot he is. This is a tragic twist in life. Sigh... George is the best bet for a husband, but yes, boring. The only time he got my attention was when he was singing karaoke in New Orleans. He should do that more often.

Well, I'm past the point where Wade says "I love you" and then she's with another guy. What a let down. I refuse to give up hope though. I like the guy she's with, but I just don't want Zoe with him.

I know right? But Wade made a mistake and it was too little too late to come to terms with his feelings. He's a big handsome warning sign in cowboy boots. I liked Zoe's new guy too but of course, no one is good enough for her when you've got the other two to compare them with :)

Hey Izzy! Hey Jana! You've got a good vibe going with your posts here. I feel like I should ask permission to join in ... and share opinions. If you're still reading these, care to welcome a newcomer? Thanks.

Of course, jump right in! Welcome to our little corner of Bluebell 😊

Wow! And double-wow! Thanks.

Wow #1, because I didn't expect such a quick response. Since the last post was almost two years old. I thought I would have a few days to compose a cogent post. I still had two episodes left to watch (Season 4, episodes 9 and 10) when I posted yesterday.

Wow # 2, because I watched those last two episodes tonight. My wife and I binge-watched the entire series, starting at the beginning of this month, sometimes as many as four a night!

First comment though, did those exterior scenes at the end of the last episode remind anyone of the graduation carnival at the end of Grease?!

Do I need to preface anything with SPOILERS AHEAD?

Well the OP isn't spoiler marked so better to be safe than sorry I guess. I've put in a request to the admin to redesign the page so we can discuss each episode rather than the series as a whole. Much easier that way and less risk of spoiling πŸ‘ Anyway, you were talking about the end scene. I was also watching Glee at the time so for me it felt like, "oh, they are doing THAT" ☺️ But yeah with the clothes, the festiveness etc, felt a lot like Grease too you're right about that.

Yes SPOILERS, then! grin

I rewatched the last 3 or 4 minutes of the last episode several times over, starting with Zoe and baby being wheeled down the hospital corridor, and ending with the gazebo end-scene. There is just so much going on, I want to focus on what each individual character is doing. Still not finished re-watching. What a GREAT finale!

Not to dwell, though ... I also want to re-watch ep1 season1 to figure out where "they" wanted to take each character from the beginning. I got a feeling that the writers were responding to fan reaction, about which relationships developed and worked best, and how each character "matured" (is that the right word?) throughout the series.

One last thought this time 'round. I've always been a big Tim Matheson fan, ever since his voice work on the original Johnny Quest (I'm giving away my age :-P), and of Rachel Bilson from her appearance as Lou the "sausage smuggler" from season 1 of Chuck.

OT Speaking of Grease, it was in nationwide rerelease on the big screen yesterday and last Sunday, as part of a Flashback Cinema promotion. My wife and I and her high school best friend went to see it yesterday! There's so much you don't notice in the background, until you see it on the "big screen" again. Still a GREAT film! Great performances!!

Hey LIMA! Our favorite "sepo" board buddy told me you were posting here. I never even heard of this series, but now that I know I can watch it on Netflix streaming, I'll give it a try. I really liked hottie Wilson Bethel as Scott Carpenter from Astronaut Wives. Yvonne Strahovsky was his wife Rene. Another Chuck reference!!

Hey Cind! Welcome and enjoy. I think you will. BTW Ryan McPartlin (Captain Awesome) makes a few guest appearances.
