Veronica investigates who at school is doing everything possible to distract Sabrina from studying and wreck her grades in an obvious attempt to sabotage her chances at becoming valedictorian.

Meanwhile, an unsavory, rival private investigator makes Keith a business offer. Later, Veronica pursues a risky lead that could discredit Abel Koontz's confession, as Logan stumbles onto her detailed files on everyone connected to Lilly's murder.

When Duncan disappears with Meg's baby, Lamb must work with two FBI agents to extract as much information as possible from an uncooperative Veronica. Meanwhile, Wallace reveals the real reason he returned to Neptune, and Weevil and Logan make a breakthrough in their hunt for the rogue gang member.

Wallace's new girlfriend Jane enlists Veronica's help when her older sister Heidi appears to be a "runaway bride," but the clues suggest something possibly more disturbing happened on the way to the altar. Meanwhile, Keith and Veronica decide that they have no choice but to go to Sheriff Lamb with the evidence they've uncovered about the bus crash. Later, Kendall has a tempting offer for Aaron Echolls.

After discovering the true perpetrator of the bus crash, Veronica is desperate to warn others before it's too late. However, she inadvertently puts herself and her loved ones at risk in the process.

Meanwhile, Keith tracks down Woody in hiding, Wallace leaves for Paris to be with Jackie, and Weevil again runs into trouble with the law.

Comincia il nuovo anno scolastico, e Veronica Mars frequenta ora l'Hearst College. Lei e Logan stanno ancora insieme e Veronica vive ancora a casa con suo padre. Anche Mac e Wallace frequentano l'Hearst College e hanno dei nuovi compagni di stanza. Infine anche lo stupratore della seconda stagione si trova ancora nel campus dell'Hearst.

Veronica va a stare nella stanza di Piz e Wallace, che sono via per il week-end, dopo che Keith ha trascorso la notte con Harmony e non è tornato a casa. Ma Piz è tornato prima perché Wallace è reso isterico dallo studio, così lei e Piz divideranno la stanza.

Indagando sulla morte del rettore vengono trovate le impronte dell'ex-marito di Mindy su tutto il computer.

Dopo i baci alla festa di Parker tra Piz e Veronica c'è un po' di imbarazzo. Piz vince il concorso per fare da guida ad una rockstar membro dei My Pretty Pony di nome Desmond, che visiterà il campus per raccogliere fondi per la stazione radio che altrimenti dovrà chiudere.

Mentre Veronica si prepara a sostenere il test per la licenza di investigatore privato, Piz legge le memorie di uno studente dell'Hearst di nome Apollo che è stato un bambino soldato in Uganda, e che presto lui dovrà intervistare alla radio.

Keith indaga su una truffa ad Hearst: qualcuno vende carte prepagate false da usare nei negozi al college. Weevil viene accusato di essere il venditore di queste carte, e viene quindi arrestato.

Convinced the bomber is still at large, Veronica visits Chino to learn more about Clyde and Big Dick. Mayor Dobbins’ request for help from the FBI brings an old flame to Neptune. Veronica confronts her mugger.

Veronica discovers Keith has been hiding something scary from her. The real reason for Penn’s latest theory on the bomber comes to light. Veronica loses confidence in new friend, Nicole, owner of Comrade Quacks.

As Veronica learns more about Nicole's past, her suspicion deepens. A frantic phone call from Paris leads to a search for Matty. Veronica unwittingly does legwork for Leo.
