Merged Episodes in Alternate Orders

I was looking into completing the Blu-ray order for The Office (2005) but I ran into an issue- starting in Season 3 there are a couple of episodes that have been merged or split, the first example being "Traveling Salesmen/The Return". How should I deal with these? TheTVDB has alternate listings for those episodes in those orders.

Alternate orders (episode groups) can only be used to change the order of episodes. They can't be used to split or merge episodes.

So is there just no way for TMDB to handle this?

If I remember correctly, an episode group feature for merged episodes might be available in the future, but a splitting feature is logistically more complicated to build.
