Huh... I'm finding it when I search via the website.

It used to be marked as pornography. Adult items are hidden by default.

It looks like its been removed from the DB. Anyone know why? Im getting error in Radarr now due to being removed.

It's a fan film: https://fridaythe13th.fandom.com/wiki/Never_Hike_Alone Whoever added it failed to read/follow the guidelines.

> rare exceptions: properly released content.

Never Hike Alone is considered among many fans as canon and one of the best Friday the 13th films. It is feature-length, has been properly released in many formats, is professionally produced and even features original actors reprising the roles of their original characters. If this doesn't count, then I'm not sure what does.

has been properly released in many formats

Source? Who was the theatrical/DVD/VOD distributor?

I'm not sure about the distributer, I think it might have been independently distributed. But the film was physically released in different versions on a number of different formats including DVD and blu-ray. I think they might have even released a VHS version. I guess my point is that Never Hike Alone is considered a pretty huge deal for a "fan film" and stands in a league of its own. Most horror fans would have heard of it.

I understand that if you include Never Hike Alone, you would then have to include every other well-known fan film. It would then be difficult to know where to draw the line. Ideally, I'd like to see fan films included in the database, perhaps with a tag that they are a fan film. In theory you could even add "fan film" as a new genre if the genres ever get an update. But I realise it's not as simple as this. Cheers.

The exception is very specific. There are a couple of fan films in the database that were legally released by a professional distributor. But in my experience, most fan films released on VHS/DVD are "bootleg" releases.

No worries, thanks for the explanation. Disappointing for people with many fan films in their collection, but understandable. Cheers.

so the sequel to this seems to be in the db?
