When films are merged, is there any way to see where the old TMDB ID should now point to in terms of New TMDB ID

As an example, you had:
https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/31261
Which 301 redirects to:
https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/31261-halo-legends
Which is 404.
At some point, it was deemed that:
https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/573531-halo-legends
Was the more complete of the two and 31261 was merged into it.
Can we not have merged IDs redirect to the ID that they got merged into?
The API returns 404, Status Code: 34 and "The resource you requested could not be found.", but no IDs related to it.

Unfortunately, this feature isn't implemented yet. @travisbell created ticket for it on Trello, where you can see its status and vote for it if you have Trello account.

This feature was backlogged in 2019. Is it dormant now or can I have an update?
