The Movie Database Support

I have a public lists and for some reason the number reported on the web site is right at 64 items but viewing the list and only 32 will be shown. The list is 118017. Oddly a v4 api request lists all 64 items in the "object_ids" but will also only return 32 titles from that list, 20 on page=1 and 12 on page=2. I'm now noticing this dropped problem in most of my public lists. Now this list 118011 only has 5 items yet only 3 are shown online and in the api response. I know the two titles missing off the top of my head so I searched for them. 1.) Game of Death, id=13333 and 2.) Way of the Dragon, id=9462. I can not add these titles as it reports an error saying "This title already exists". If it exists why is in not listed when I view the list online or in an api response?

I also noticed this Game of Death movie title, id=13333, is a strange duck. I created a new list and added just that title but it will not show up nor returned in api v3 or v4 request. If I add it to my watchlist it works there. I suspect whatever is the issue is why I'm losing titles in all my lists.

Anyone at all? I realize this is getting passed over for responses to other posts by moderators but I've had others review, and confirm, this issue and it's clear there's a problem.

Hi, Ken.

I don't know the answer to your question, though it appears to be the same situation that was discussed in this thread the other week. No actual reason for the issue was determined at that time.

By the way, I don't know anything, at all, about api, since that's not something I've ever used. I discovered the issue occurring on solely one of my lists (which now has about ten more titles added to it since the other week), and with just one title for some reason continuing to not appear.

Hi guys,

I don't know why a few items here and there aren't showing. I haven't had any time to look into this yet. I've created a ticket to track this here. I have some pretty high priority things going on at the moment but will try to take a look at this by the end of the week.

Thank you Travis. It's actually not just a few titles here and there. This list, 117973, went from 230 titles now dropped to 164. They were all there before. Appreciate your time on the issue!

I've been seeing this dropped titles in a number of public lists and other users as well and seems like it's a language issue I suspect. list

Hi @Ken62465, can you tell me what your list looks like now? I found what I believe to be the issue. It had to do with movie and TV items whose language codes were set to values not part of the ISO-639-1 standard. I'm handling these properly now and on my test list, can see Game of Death being properly returned.

In total, there was some ~7000 movies, and ~600 TV shows affected.

lol...I literally just checked in to check it noticed the dropped titles seem to be back. This list had 230 titles and 66 use to be dropped but they are all there now! Martial arts. I can't thank you enough Travis, nice work!!!!!

Excellent, happy to hear it's sorted. thumbsup_tone2

Likewise my list now is back to showing the listing that had, till now, not been appearing. heavy_check_mark

Many thanks for solving the issue, Travis! medal
