Hi,
I'm a french user of an Wd Tv Live and i experiencing the same problem as well.
It seems to be a malfunction with the server cf2.imgobject.com .
The Xml file of the Wd Tv Live attempt to download image ( Backdrop Cover ) from this server but there is no response.
So Wait Tomorrow and see if i was right.
Good Night.

Hey guys,
Are you guys running the latest firmware? We did indeed shut imgobject.com down, it's been deprecated since 2012. I would be surprised to learn Western Digital hasn't updated to use the latest URL (image.tmdb.org).

Mine worked yesterday - downloaded all the thumbnails/movie covers with backgrounds BUT not today - none of my movies will download the picture or background. Very sad as I loved this feature and it worked before. i hope they get it back running as I am not a technological expert on how to create this "metadata or source" (whatever). lol. I should add that I do have the latest firmware and I am also trying to upload from my WD TV LIVE. :)

Just a side note about WD TVLive SMP, the latest firmwares is terrible with disconnects and networking issues. Many users continue to revert back to Firmware 1.16.13 to resolve those issues. No idea if that effects the links to tmdb or not however.

I got the same problem with WDTV but also with an android application Movies Book.
All was fine two days ago, no more cover now.
Just tried with an other android application, Moviebase, the problem is the same.
@Travis Bell I'm using the latest firmware on my WDTV and, unfortunately, imgobject.com is used

Hi pfm68000,
Thanks for confirming the WD issue. I have contacted them but until any kind of update corrects this, we'll have to restore it. I'll get our ops team to look into this later today.
Cheers.

We have re-enabled the imgobject.com domain. As I've mentioned, I'm in contact with WD and making sure they get this updated sooner rather than later. We have some old legacy systems we'd like to put to bed.
Cheers.

Hi Travis Bell
Thank's for finding a quick solution to this issue.
I hope now that WD works on a firmware update.
Best regards

The WD TV Live Hub no longer has firmware support does this mean when you remove the imgobject.com domain users of this device will no longer be able to receive the movie covers ?

Hi Folks,
Somewhere in the last month started having an issue with being unable to retrieve movie covers from the 'themoviedb.org' site with either of my WD TV LIVE (FW: 2.02.32) units using the Get Content Info' function. This function does successfully retrieve the XML metadata info, but does not show the movie cover art. If I check the local folders where the retrieve information is found, this function has created a moviename.metathumb invalid file of size 1KB. To my knowledge nothing has changed recently on either of the WD TV LIVE units, and previously obtained *.metathumb covers display correctly.
Has something changed with the API recently, and can anyone confirm if they are having similar issues?
Thanks in advance, Terry

Thx Runbo. The URL Link you provided is bang on. Glad to see issue is due to a recent themoviedb.org "fix" which is being looked into and not due to tinkering on my end.
