Potential Source for Duplicates

Dear Team
I just encountered a situation, in which potentially duplicates are created by users:
When entering Crew or Cast of a new person (not known yet), which plays 2 roles in a movie and/or has two jobs (eg. Writer & Director), I get twice the only selection "Create it" - as the person's database is not yet updated after the first creation. I solved it in my case by waiting for database reorg - then the entry was existing and I added the second job title - but who would do so?
Potentially not solvable, I know... maybe a way to include somehow the newly added actor/crew member immediately in the dropdown list for the next role/job? If you decide not to solve this, you may simply close the thread.

Hey Chris,
Yes, when creating new people there is up to about a 60 second delay before they will be searchable. This is not something that is easy for us to fix at the moment. There's a rather large search infrastructure and it can take a bit before things sync up.
I'll give it some thought, in the meantime I've created a new ticket.

Tahnk you for your thoughts and creating a ticket for this. I can imagine - not easy to solve, as I wrote already in the post. Maybe simply an artificial adding of newly created persons (stored in a temporary array) added to dropdown list? Or probably better: auto-merge new entries on next database sync with same name...
