Will there be DVD release date?

Once our DB supports multiple release dates per country, yes one of the options will no doubt be DVD release date. There's an open ticket for this feature here.

It's now almost 2 years later. I'm assuming this feature won't be added any time soon? If not, I will have to use Rotten Tomatoes API to get the DVD release dates I'm needing.

Hi Robert,

It's still on my radar, I can't commit to when I'll get to it but it is still planned and something we want to do.

Another situation where this would be useful is for festival screenings and theatrical releases when they occur in the same country. For example, Infinitely Polar Bear screened at Sundance 2014 but its theatrical release wasn't until 2015. As there's no way to lock release dates, it keeps getting changed to and fro.

Yup, that's exactly what ticket #527 is about ;)

Just adding my vote for this really. I find the ticket system a bit baffling, thought I was commenting on #527!

Is this still coming? It would be super useful.

Edit: My bad, just read the rest of the posts. Consider this another vote for the feature :)

Any idea on an eta?

Multiple dates by territory and type launched today, thanks Travis! Details here: https://medium.com/tmdb-news/multiple-release-dates-per-country-and-by-type-8b2a5bf0630#.ftj16lf8x
