The death of John Heard at 72 has just been announced. Awfully sad news, he was a fine actor and always a welcome presence. His superb performance in Cutter's Way is one for the ages. RIP.

He did much to raise awareness of the issue of CHUDs in our big cities.
Also a fine character actor.
