he only was producer on bumblebee so i assume very hard that he only grabbed some money and wasn't involved. the movie isn't anything like the other transformers movies and isn't connected to them.

Oh yes it is. Same continuity, just in the past. Otherwise, where was Megatron? You'd have to watch Bay's first Transformers movie to answer that question.

However, as a consolation prize? Knight (the director) considered it and even drew up storyboards but realized it would contradict Bay's continuity.

Now, we can speculate on if he decided against his own idea on his own, or if Paramount stepped in and said "nu-uh!", but regardless Bumblebee is in the "Bayformers" continuity.

Frankly considering how much sh!t the Bayformers movies has been. They should have booted Micheal Bay a long time ago and his Bayformers continuity . But i guess Hasbro has been totally fine with there franchise being a joke as long as they got some money. Its only when the franchise hits rock bottom at the box office. They go "Maybe we should try to make an actual good movie".

Paramount wasn't about to boot Bay while he was making them over a billion dollars with the franchise. Once he stopped doing that (part 5 made less than part 1) he was shown the door. But if part 5 made over a billion dollars like the two movies before it we'd be talking about part 6 as directed by Michael Bay around this time instead of Bumblebee.

While what you say makes logical sense from a Hollywood studio point of view, it's not totally accurate. Bumblebee was planned way before the release of The Last Knight. They had plans for an extended universe like the MCU. So we would probably have got Bumblebee and then part 6 by Bay. Here is an article from back in 2015:

Whether or not they would have put the same kind of care into Bumblebee had The Last Knight not under-performed is another question. My thoughts would be 'yes' because the first screenshot for it came out not long after the release of The Last Knight. I think the studio kind of knew it was time for a bit of a revamp.

One thing didn't make sense if it was the same continuity. At the end of this film, Bumblebee was a Corvette, however when Sam first got Bumblebee in the first Transformers movie he was still a VW Beetle.

Probably a glitch in the matrix. I could have sworn. 🤔

Here's the thing. We know Knight was trying to keep continuity with the FIRST movie, and I think he succeeded. Parts 2-4 however is anyone's guess. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that outright contradicts those. But as far as part five, The Last Knight goes, I think we can safely consider THAT one out of continuity. Namely, this movie contradicts this scene from the Last Knight.

The Last Knight made the least out of the "Bayformers" movies so if Hasbro/Paramount decides that's the lone one out of continuity but the rest are IN continuity, oh well (though I did enjoy The Last Knight).

Frankly the after The Last Knight the Bayformers continuity made no sense. It didn't make much sense before it either. But Your telling me that there were Transfromers in Medievil times and WW2. Yet nobody bothered to document it and nobody remembered the gaint f##king robots with swords. Also if the allies had Autobots. WW2 would have been over in a week. I know people keep on saying that the 2007 Bay movie was good. But even that was crap. Everything that made Bayformers crap was all there in the 2007 movie. It just didn't go as far with its drug induced childish humor as the latter films did. If anyone at Hasbro or Paramount had any lick of sense. They would dump Micheal Bay and his continuity like a hot potato. And put a competent filmmaker in charge who might actually like Transfromers.

I really don't know how anyone can follow the last knight. I got lost halfway in.
