A spin-off of a much derived movie franchise...? Sounds gash.

I do know it started it's filming, as I've been to the on-location set in downtown Vallejo, California. There are other things filmed in Vallejo including the next season of Walking Dead and more episodes of 13 Reasons Why (which has been filmed there since the start). Paramount owns a studio in Vallejo (specifically in Mare Island).

I'm getting more and more optimistic about this. The trailer looks pretty good. I've long suspected there might be a bit more to this one. I like that it's set in the 80s, I like that he's a volkswagen and it's a pretty interesting choice of director. He did Kubo and the Two Strings and hopefully he'll give the film a bit of charm and personality.

Will this be Transformers Solo? Who knows. But from the trailer it seems...ok. I mean I was never really a fan of the franchise so I cant really comment on the quality. But this seems more like a human/bot connection type of film and less big booms and bangs that the previous films had.

Well Micheal Bay not directing, so that a good sign. This looks like it might actually be good for once. If this works out well. I hope that Transformers could become a franchise that doesn't hurt my brain.
