Overview

Toshiya Fujita, who directed two installments of the popular Naraneko Rokku series, joined Nikkatsu's fledgeling division exclusively devoted to pinku eiga films with this softcore teen melodrama. Resembling many of the episodic teen-sex dramas released to American drive-ins later in the 1970s, the film stars Takenori Murano and Midori Fujita in the tale of several high school friends spending their final summer together before heading off to college. As in the American films, romance and friendship rub uneasy shoulders with subplots involving gang rape and parental abuse, but the healthy amount of T & A and softcore grinding ensured box-office success. Fujita returned with the unrelated but similar Hachigatsu Wa Eros No Nioi the following year.
